What an Adventure!

We had a blast celebrating our young writers’ published adventure stories earlier this month.

From a frog called Terrence who’s in a scrape with an assassin to pineapples falling from the sky, our young writer’s adventure stories are certainly worth celebrating. And celebrate we did!

On Saturday 11th July, we rolled out the red carpet, called in some of our favourite actors and settled into our seats for a celebratory reading of their stories.

Actor Gem performs some of our young writers' stories to an audience of friends and family.

It wasn’t just the adventure stories that piqued our curiosity, though, as this was our first time in our new building! Our young writers got a proper glimpse of their new storytelling home. We’re so excited for them to come back in September and start filling the space with their humongous imaginations.

After a selection of their stories were read out by professional actors Gem and Dorothy, our young writers got to see their published books for the first time! There were smiles all round as they held their beautiful adventure books in their hands.

A young writer and his mum stand in front of a vibrant illustration of a Wonderbly world. She is clutching a book with his adventure story published inside and smiling. He has his arm around her and is pointing at the book.

It was just magical for us as a family to see children’s storytelling imaginations get the red carpet treatment.

We want to say a massive thank you to Wonderbly for helping us to bring our young writers’ vibrant stories into top-quality, professional-standard books. And a huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped us to celebrate in style, especially those who proudly donned star-shaped sunglasses.

Here’s to the many adventures ahead in our new home!
