Getting here
Our writing centre is located in the heart of Shoreditch, a 15-minute walk from Old Street tube station and a 5-minute walk from Hoxton Station on the London Overground.
Accessing our space
Our writing centre is on the second floor of the building up two flights of stairs. There is step free access from street lelvel.
There is one external door at street level, this is a metal grid door which is 90cm wide, then there is a lift to take you up to the second floor. The doors of the lift open to 80cm wide.
When you arrive at the second floor the door to Ministry of Stories is 84cm wide.
We will always have a member of staff or volunteer at the front door to greet visitors for writing workshops and events.
If you are visiting outside of workshop times, there is a touch screen intercom 150cm from the ground by the front door, type in ‘1′ and ‘4’ and press call to be let in. The door is a heavy metal grate and 90cm wide. If you are unable to comfortably reach the keypad/open this door you can call us on 020 7729 4159 and we will come downstairs to welcome you.
We have one disabled toilet and suitable space to manoeuvre a wheelchair in all areas.
