Imagination welcome here

All of our free after school and weekend Community Writing Labs take place at our Hoxton Street writing centre. Due to high demand in our busy neighbourhood, we have to keep our offer very local. Check below to see if your child can join.

How it works

Helping young writers grow

We run free, welcoming and accessable programmes and encourage young people from all backgrounds and experiences to get involved.

We are proud to support young people’s imaginations to take the lead and offer them the chance to get excited about all forms of writing, from poetry and podcasts, to screenplays and songwriting.

Attending weekly sessions will also help your child improve their literacy, build confidence and self-esteem, make friends and have fun.

“If you’re new here, this is a place where you can free your mind on a piece of paper and become what you want.”

Hafsa, Aged 11

You can also pick up a paper form to fill out if you prefer this to digital.

Two young writers and a writing mentor sit around a table at our writing centre, discussing ideas. They are smiling and chatting.
