Theresa Lola

Theresa is a British Nigerian poet and writer. In 2018 she was awarded the Brunel International African Poetry Prize. Her debut poetry collection ‘In Search of Equilibrium’ was longlisted for the 2021 Michael Murphy Memorial Prize. Theresa has held poetry teaching residencies at places such as the Wellcome Collection, Bethlem Museum of the Mind and St Paul’s Cathedral. She was the 2019/2020 Young People’s Laureate for London, and was a writer in residence at a secondary school. She holds a Masters in Creative Writing from University of Oxford.
