A new monster store in the City of London

Posted by theministry on 13th June 2023

Our second fantastical shop is now open!

We’re very excited to announce that a second Monster Supplies store is now open at the historic Leadenhall Market, in the heart of the City of London.

Thanks to the fantastic generosity of our friends and supporters we were able to jump on the opportunity to open a second store. This will allow us to continue championing creativity, joy and imagination but also raise vital funds to keep our writing workshops free for local families.

Our new store is an exciting space, packed full of our usual fun, creative products and a few dastardly extras, such as fresh Garden Slugs and Broomstick Pencils

Visit us in-store to measure yourself up against our Monster Height Chart. Discover if you’re an Ogre or Kraken and choose your scaring supplies accordingly.

While tasting some Dragon Treats samples or avoiding our Pixie infestation (they can occasionally spill out onto the shop floor), make sure to check out our Community Noticeboard. Each listing shares local activities and offers for Monsters in London, you might even spot some names you recognise…

Looking to make a day of it? Our store is right next door to the entrance to The Leaky Cauldron on Diagon Alley and we’ve been informed muggles can join tours to discover the magical hot spots of the area.

Visit us today, we look forward to serving you. But please remember, all Humans visit at their own risk…(and volunteers get a 10% discount!).

Our thanks go to

We are so proud to have been gifted this second opportunity by our friends over at the City of London Corporation, following the success of our pop-up at Leadenhall Market last winter – huge thanks to Ollie and the team for inviting us back to a bigger and better unit!

We’d also like to thank our favourite fiends, Polly at Teatime Production, Rosie and the team at Motive Productions, Dan and the team at Sabre Graphics and our unstoppable creative founder, Alistair Hall.

The icing on this Monstrous Cake was also receiving support from Cockayne Grants for the Arts, a donor advised fund held at The London Community Foundation and the incredible response from our supporters, volunteers and Hoxton Street fans to our first-ever Hoxton Street Monster Supplies crowdfunding campaign. We couldn’t have said ‘yes’ to this incredible opportunity without your support. Thank you.

As ever, the advice, support and guidance received from our Board of Directors for Hoxton Street is always valuable as we continue to grow our ambitious shop. Rebecca, Sean, Mina and Rob; thanks ever so. We also look forward to working with our new Directors – Deborah and Vidal this year.
