It’s World Book Day and we’re celebrating by sharing the most requested books from the Ministry of Stories library. From thrilling graphic novels to detective stories, grab your library card and come read with us.

Books for 6-8 year olds

Dylan, also recommends Bunny vs Monkey by Jamie Smart. Dylan says: “It’s simple yet extremely funny with a surprisingly good plot and colourful pictures. If you like graphic novels then I think you’ll love this book”. 

 

Books for 8-12 year olds

Sophia also recommends The Last Bear by Hannah Gold, a tale of climate change and a young girl who goes to the Arctic Circle. Sophia adds: “It’s very emotional”.

Books for 12+

Zawadi, also recommends Malorie Blackman’s classic tale, Pig-Heart Boy. Zawadi says:  “It’s kinda bittersweet and it really makes you think about society, your friends, the future, how you want your life to be etc.”.
