Our secondary programme helps young people find their voice. Growing their confidence in conveying ideas and communicating.
All of our programmes are led by professional writers: from poets to playwrights, spoken word artists to authors.
Explore how you and your school can get involved below.
Our one-off workshops are fast, fun packed, interactive mornings that help young people find their voice and build confidence in their writing skills.
We can host a whole class at our creative writing centre here in Hoxton or at your school in Hackney, Islington or Tower Hamlets.
Our Set Projects offer a longer more in depth experience. This could look like our powerful speech writing project Speak Up or our anthology programme, when students produce a publication packed full of their writing.
They can be delivered in an intensive block, regular weekly or fortnightly sessions during the term, either in school time, or out of school hours. They can also be delivered with whole class groups, or targeted learners.
Our Intensives offer a blast of creative energy to bring the power of writing and oracy alive in your school.
Take a year-group or class off timetable and spend the day with our professional writers. Start with a fun, interactive assembly and follow with a full day of workshops.
With our Bespoke Projects we’ll work with you to set a brief, then design and programme a bespoke writer-led project that responds to your needs.
The project might come from a school improvement priority, a challenge or just the beginnings of a great idea.
“Working with the Ministry seems to have unlocked creativity that sometimes the children didn’t know they had.”
