Mythology of Me

An invisible museum, cracks between different worlds and a letter penned by Wells’ the cat – this term’s project has it all.

When our young writers turned up to our new building on the first day of term, it wasn’t just our comfy new sofas waiting to surprise them. They were also met with a letter from none other than our invisible cat Wells (who knew he had such dextrous paws..!)

“I hope you don’t mind my reaching out to you via letter. I thought about just meowing, but I’ve learnt from experience that you humans rarely understand me.”

Mythology of Me

Wells was getting in contact to ask for the help of our young writers. It turns out that our feline friend has noticed something strange about our new building. It just so happens that our new workshop spaces is situated in a half-vanished mythical museum that exists both in the mythical and real world…!

Wells thinks that their imaginations of our young writers can help to uncover the museum! For the next 12-weeks, it will be our 6-18 years olds job to imagine objects that might exist in the museum and by doing so hopefully create some really strong ties between the worlds and save the museum.

We’re excited to see what artefacts our young writers will write into existence as they each develop their own personal Mytholgy of Me and help Wells to fulfill his role as meowseum curator.
