Celebrating our Schools
Last week, we had a great morning celebrating the culmination of a three year partnership with primary schools in Tower Hamlets.
The celebration event – which was held at Spotlight, an amazing dedicated youth space in Tower Hamlets – included a market stall of lightning quick creative activities for the children to enjoy on arrival, followed by fun workshops led by members of our experienced team of writing facilitators.
The event finale, which involved plenty of participation from our lively audience of young writers, showcased some of the amazing projects they had taken part in during the last year of the partnership.
The partnership, generously supported by the Mercers’ Company, built a relationship with ten schools across a wide range of creative writing projects and CPD, tailored to meet the individual needs and priorities of each school. Projects included poetry writing, story anthologies, film-making and even the production of a showstopping school newspaper.
We would like to thank all of the schools who took part in the partnership over the three years – we look forward to working with you again in the future.
