CPD: Unlock Children’s Creative Writing in the Classroom

Posted by theministry on 14th April 2026

Join us for a day of inspirational talks and practical workshops.

This June, we will be running a full day of training focusing on creative approaches to writing and oracy in the primary classroom. We’ll take you through a range of practical activities which explore techniques to engage, inspire and motivate all children to write.

We’ll also be joined by award winning children’s author Piers Torday, as he shares tips and ideas to support children’s creative writing in the classroom and reads from his latest novel, Tree Thing.

This CPD is free for schools in Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Islington.
