Young Writers Programme

Discover our four-part creative writing programme for schools.

• KS2, class of up to 30 pupils or as a more targeted intervention
• On site at Ministry of Stories Writing Centre, then at your school
• Four-part narrative writing programme
• £725 per group

A four-part creative writing programme, led by one of our experienced writer facilitators. Kickstart the programme with an exciting Story Making workshop at Ministry of Stories, and continue back in school with three dynamic workshops to develop pupils’ narrative writing skills. The programme ends with a sharing session in which children are encouraged to read or perform part of their finished story.

Outcomes:

• Build children’s confidence and stamina as writers
• Support for children’s sustained writing exploring how to structure a story, build suspense, create characters, describe setting and atmosphere
• Nurture children’s motivation to write and develop their voice as authors
• Support and inspire reluctant writers
