Twas but a dream…

We’re closing the doors of DreamState after a phenomenal week. 

Last week, at the Ditch at Shoreditch town hall, we built the wonderful, fantastical and inspiring imaginings of our young writers, inviting families to wander through them. 

We were overwhelmed by the response, with all six days of the DreamState run selling out before we’d even opened. We released more tickets as the week went on – which also sold out almost as soon as they had gone online – and we’re thrilled to see so many families enjoying and exploring the space.

Whether that was building a brand new plant in the Green Room, partying with the leopard in the YAY space or reading all about the long -dead slug Alice – every visitor got to see our Community Labs members’ writing in action. 

Among the audience were the writers themselves and their families, who got to see the culmination of all their hard work and imagination front and centre, brought to life by our wonderful partners make:good. Some of the feedback from our young writers:

The response to our young writers’ work went above all our expectations and we were thrilled to share it with over 1,400 of you. Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate and explore our young writers’ work, it was a very special week.
