World-class writers, exclusive venues and the toughest interviewers you’ve seen in action

Experience a little Ministry magic with our brand new series of events, ‘The Ministry of Stories presents’. Join us as our Junior Ministers grill world-class writers, behind the scenes at some of London’s most inspiring venues.

Kicking off

Kicking off the series are authors Charlie Higson, Sophie Kinsella and Laura Dockrill talking about childhood, at Penguin Random House.

Charlie Higson is an author, actor, comedian and writer for television and radio. He wrote the Young Bond series, which has now sold over a million copies in the UK and has been translated into over 24 different languages. Charlie is a huge fan of horror films and books, and even studied gothic literature at university. With three sons of his own, Charlie knows exactly how to terrify and captivate teenagers in equal measure.

Sophie is the author of novels The Wedding Girl, Cocktails for Three and the best-selling Shopaholic series. Her books have been translated into over 30 languages and her novel Confessions of a Shopaholic was adapted into a film. Sophie has also written young adult novel Finding Audrey.

Laura is a writer, illustrator and performance poet whose work includes Lorali and the acclaimed Darcy Burdock books for children.

All three writers will explore the importance of childhood and what it means to write for younger audiences.
