Coming Soon: A Video

We recently started filming a video to highlight what we’ve been doing in our sessions and what we think is going to happen. It is really great – being part of this experience – having an opportunity to experience working with actual film equipment, with an actual director and producer, and to see how it feels to be in front of a camera, which is incredibly useful for people like me who want to be a famous TV star one day.

Also, everyone’s been working super hard and everything’s starting to come together really well since everybody involved is highly creative and wants what is best for the musical. We’ve also been exploring ideas about what the future is going to look like since that’s the theme of the musical and it’s really interesting to hear everyone’s views on how the world is going to be like 10, 20, even 100 years in the future.

Dystopias

Ideas such as a zombie apocalypse, world hunger, big corporate companies taking over, famines, floods and clever things like that have been the focus of our discussions so far, but with everyone contributing it’s only a matter of time until something concrete gets written down.

Most of the group tends to think the future will be dark, gloomy, dystopias like The Hunger Games. The mentors are encouraging us to try and think in a more balanced way, and they like the idea of big corporations one day taking over as things happening nowadays could be suggesting that’s the way we’re heading…
