Support our young writers this winter season.
A week ago our goal was to raise £500 to give all the young people we support a brand new book this festive season- and through your amazing generosity we have reached our target!
Now we are hoping to continue to raise funds so we can pack our cupboards with pens and paper, invite inspiring authors to meet our young people and make sure our stock of idea-boosting breadsticks never runs dry.
You can help us buy all kinds of new books for our young people, from magical poetry and pirate adventures to hidden lands and exciting facts. We want every child who enters our doors to be able to travel the world, right from the comfort of our couch here at Ministry HQ.
We’re also looking to pack our cupboards with pens and paper and make sure our stock of idea-boosting breadsticks never runs dry .
- £5 – buys idea-boosting breadsticks for our after school workshops
- £10 – helps buy a brand new book for our library
- £25 – helps fund visits from guest authors and illustrators
We support over 110 young people every week, with free, safe and creative workshops after school and at weekends . Through our creative writing workshops young people develop communication and leadership skills. Their confidence and aspirations grow. They make new friends and meet inspiring role models. They are given the space to explore their ideas and imaginations.
We also want to let you know that if we are able to raise enough to buy the books, any additional funds raised will support our work with young people in Hackney and Tower Hamlets.
