Ben JUMP!

Posted by theministry on 18th February 2019

Skydiving from 10,000ft to celebrate ten years at the Ministry.

This March, our National Producer and Founder Ben Payne is leaving for pastures new. Typical to Ministry of Stories, he is doing it in some serious style.

Back in 2009 Ben took an empty shop and, with the support of Co Founders Lucy Macnab and Nick Hornby, created a home for writing on the High Street.

He will now celebrate these incredible ten years by skydiving from 10,000ft. to raise £1,000 for our young writers.

Speaking about the jump, Ben said; “I’m well-known among my friends and loved ones as being not great with heights and being really rather clumsy and uncoordinated. What better way to celebrate 10 years of work for MoS then than by jumping out of a plane?”

If you would like to sponsor Ben, please visit his Just Giving page.

If you would like to take on a sponsored jump, run or fancy-dress tap-dance of your own, please email lottie@ministryofstories.org.

We rely on donations (or money raised through wild and ambitious sponsored skydives) to continue to offer free writing clubs to young people in East London.
