Sign-up to become a Writing Mentor this April and discover the joy of helping bring young writers stories to life.

Join us this month at our volunteer induction to find out what life is like as Ministry of Stories writing mentor.

Writing Mentors

Our Writing Mentors help our young writers explore writing and get excited about the stories they want to tell. Since 2010, our team of writing mentors have inspired and built the writing confidence of hundreds of children, nurturing their self expression and literacy skills.

Volunteer Writing Mentors support afternoon workshops, throughout the school year, which are typically two hours long with 30-minute briefing and debrief sessions before and after.

All about the day

  • Friday 22nd April
  • 10.30am – 4.30pm

On the day you will join other prospective mentors at MoS HQ to learn about our exciting new project and what life is like as a mentor. We’ll also provide you with the essential safeguarding training and key mentoring skills you need to feel confident and ready to start your mentoring journey.
